Abstract

The authors describe a new species in the genus Coenotes (Rothschild & Jordan, 1903), which until now had included only the species C. eremophilae (Lucas, 1891) from Australia. This new species cames from Yamdena Island, the largest of the Tanimbar Islands in Indonesia.

Abstract

A new species of Sphingidae in the genus Acosmeryx, Acosmeryx miskinoides n. sp. is described from Papua New Guinea. It is compared to the closely related species Acosmeryx miskini (Murray, 1873) from Australia.

Description d’un nouveau Sphingidae du genre Platysphinx: Platysphinx zabolicus sp. n. (Lepidoptera, Sphingidae) Par Jean Haxaire1 et Tomáš Melichar2, Pages 14-19, Published: 20 December 2007

Abstract

A new species of Platysphinx is described from the Republic of South Africa, Eastern Cape Province. It is compared with Platysphinx piabilis (Distant, 1897) described from Pretoria, Gauteng Province, RSA. The status of Platysphinx bourkei Trimen, 1910 is re-examined and its synonymy with P. piabilis confirmed.

Une nouvelle espèce du genre Dahira Moore, 1888 de Chine, Sichuan: Dahira jitkae sp. n. (Lepidoptera, Sphingidae) Par Jean Haxaire1 et Tomáš Melichar2, Pages 20-23, Published: 20 December 2007

Abstract

The authors describe a new species of the genus Dahira Moore, 1888 based on a single male collected in China, Sichuan. It is compared with the allied species Dahira niphaphylla (Joicey & Kaye, 1917), D. kitchingi Brechlin, 2000), D. yulongensis (Brechlin, 2000) and D. plutenkoi (Brechlin, 2002).
