A new species of the genus Ambulyx Westwood 1847 (Lepidoptera, Sphingidae) from the Indonesian island of Sangir Tomáš Melichar1 & Michal Řezáč2, Pages 1-5, Published: 15 November 2013

Abstract

A new species of the genus Ambulyx Westwood, 1847, Ambulyx viteki sp.nov., is described from the Indonesian island of Sangir, an island in the Celebes Sea between Sulawesi (Indonesia) and Mindanao (Philippines). A comparison is made with representatives of its closest relatives, Ambulyx pryeri Distant, 1887 and Ambulyx staudingeri Rothschild, 1895.

A new species of hawk moth of the genus Coenotes Rothschild & Jordan from Australia (Sphingidae: Smerinthinae: Sphingulini) Max Moulds1 and Tomáš Melichar2, Pages 11-17, Published: 15 November 2013

Abstract

Coenotes arida sp. n. is described as new species from the Northern Territory and Western Australia. The adult is figured and diagnostically compared with C. eremophilae (T.P. Lucas, 1891), which is widely distributed across Australia and is sympatric with C. arida.

A new species of the genus Griseosphinx Cadiou & Kitching, 1990 (Lepidoptera, Sphingidae) from Myanmar Tomáš Melichar1 & Michal Řezáč2, Pages 19-23, Published: 15 November 2013

Abstract

A new species of the genus Griseosphinx Cadiou & Kitching, 1990, Griseosphinx naumanni sp. nov., is described from western Myanmar. A comparison of the habitus and male genitalia is made with those of the other three species of the genus.
