Descriptions of a new genus and ten new species of Mimallonidae (Lepidoptera: Mimallonoidea) Daniel Herbin, Pages 1-31, Published: 23 April 2012

Abstract

A new genus and ten new species of Mimallonidae are described from French Guiana and Bolivia. Three species are described in Psychocampa Grote & Robinson, 1866, and six species in Cicinnus Blanchard, 1852. The tenth species is described in the new genus Arianula. The holotypes and male genitalia of all species are figured.

A review of the genus Gorgonidia Dyar, 1898, with the description of one new species (Lepidoptera:Erebidae, Arctiinae, Arctiini) Benoit Vincent, Pages 33-54, Published: 23 April 2012

Abstract

The arctiine genus Gorgonidia Dyar, 1898 is revised based on morphology and DNA barcodes. One new species is described, G. helenae sp. nov., G. garleppi pallidipennis (Rothschild, 1910) is synonymised with the nominotypical subspecies; and G. inversa (Rothschild, 1909) and G. maronensis (Rothschild, 1909) are raised from subspecies of G. garleppi (Druce, 1898) to species status. G. harterti (Rothschild, 1910) and G. whitfordi (Rothschild, 1910) are also raised from subspecies of G. buckleyi (Druce, 1883) to species status. A diagnosis for each species and an identification key are provided.

Une nouvelle espèce du genre Cautethia Grote, 1865 de l'île de Cuba: Cautethia fideli sp. n. (Lepidoptera, Sphingidae) Jean Haxaire 1 & Tomas Melichar 2, Pages 55-62, Published: 23 April 2012

Abstract

A new species of Sphingidae is described from the Alejandro Humbolt National Park, Guanatanamo province, Cuba. It is the second representative of the genus Cautethia recorded from the island, the first being Cautethia grotei grotei Edwards, 1882. The new species is easily distinguished by its much larger size, hindwing colour and unique genital structure.
